The Hollywood Bowl wraps up its summer 2011 Weekend Spectaculars series with a French-themed concert under the stars, followed by a dazzling fireworks display. Joined by eclectic world music group Paris Combo and high-kicking Moulin Rouge dancers, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra provides an intoxicating adventure through the City of Lights with performances of pieces from An American in Paris and other French-themed delights. Paris Combo provides jazzy cabaret sounds straight from the street-side cafes, and a chorus line of long-legged can-can cabaret dancers bring a tantalizing twist to a classic and once-forbidden dance. Once the fireworks start, you'll swear you can see the Eiffel Tower in the background.

Don't get me wrong... Goldstar was wonderful... the tickets were perfect. The separate check in window was great. But the show just sucked. I've never heard any orchestra make AN AMERICAN IN PARIS boring before. They were just awful. And the Paris Combo was repetitive to the point were you couldn't tell one song from another. The only redeeming feature of the show was the best fireworks display ever at the Bowl. It was wonderfully synced to the music and quite enjoyable.

It was good. There was a mix up with our seats for the nearly sold out show and didn't get to sit in our purchased seats but were moved to others. There two people were kicked out of the seats we were supposed to sit in and their friends got in a shouting match with people sitting next to them. Did I mention it was a 60yo+ church group?! LOL
