Brilliant writer and critic!

This was an excellent performance, varied, well-performed...and I got to introduce someone to the Hollywood Bowl who had never even heard of it! The Ginastera selections were lovely, idiomatice, also new to me. The young (German?) cellist Daniel Mueller-Schott has superb technique and tone—he'll lighten up a bit in time and enjoy himself more, I suspect.
The Tchaikowsky Fourth Symphony was luxurious, and the French horns, trumpets and trombones made the recurring theme in the last movement firm, insistent and brilliant—just as it should be.
All that, stars in the sky, and NO helicopter or plane passovers the entire night—what more could one want!
