One of the most amazing sights in nature is that of majestic whales swimming and playing on the ocean's surface, leaping out of the water and slapping their mighty tales. On this 2.5 hour cruise off the shores of Newport Beach, you may see giant blue whales during the summer and fall months or the annual grey whale migration bringing tens of thousands of grey whales along the coast during the winter and spring months. Huge pods of several species of dolphin are very common as are the resident sea lions. You may also catch glimpses of seals, killer whales, sharks and many other marine creatures. With a 96% success rate, almost every cruise has many viewing opportunities. An added plus is picturesque coastal backdrops of Newport Beach, Laguna Beach and Huntington Beach. Learn More

Most of the stands were staffed by knowledgeable folks. And one winemaker even pointed out two other booths to visit for their great wine. I left with more knowledge about what I liked/disliked and why than before I went so that was well worth it. Also had money for bus fare home after a long anticipated visit to Astro Burger nearby. And believe it or not it really does have a large vege menu selection as its big sign outside says.

The LA WineFest returns to Hollywood's Raleigh Studios for its fourth annual tasting event. Bigger than ever, and spread over two days, Los Angeles' largest wine festival brings together dozens of winemakers and distributors, who will be pouring samples of over 500 wines, beers, sake and spirits. Each day of WineFest will also include educational seminars from experts in the field.
