Broadway Musical Les Miserables at the Pantages Theater
Pantages Theatre (Hollywood, CA)
Rated 3.5 by 794 members who went.
After more than 17 years of bringing this classic show all over North America, the national touring company of Les Miserables will be no more. But first, the show comes to Los Angeles for one final visit! Reprising their roles from last year's critically heralded L.A. engagement are Broadway's final "Jean Valjean," Randal Keith, along with Robert Hunt as "Inspector Javert." Los Angeles resident and Broadway regular, Joan Almedilla, appears as Fantine. The winner of more than 50 international theatre awards, Les Miserables is the epic musical story of the fugitive Jean Valjean, who is pitted against the cruel and self-righteous Inspector Javert.

Everything about the ticket set-up (ticket ordering, confirmation, home mail delivery, prior day reminder via email) was top notch. The best I've encountered with your service. So much preferred over Will Call, which had a huge line at the theatre.
Play and performances were outstanding. First time seeing Les Miserables. Looking forward to other theatre events via Goldstar! (the price is right!!!)
It would be helpful to have the actual RUNNING time of the event posted somewhere--your site or event site. (I realize audience response is involved too.) However, since I traveled via light rail and subway to the theatre, this 'unknown' was worrisome and hectic to catch the last train upon return.

How could I pass up seeing my favorite musical in my favorite theater in LA? Absolutely loved the opportunity to save some money and to see Les Miz at The Pantages twice in three days. I had already bought a full price ticket when this event was announced, but when I saw Goldstar's offer I jumped at the chance to see the last run of the national touring company again. Thanks again for the service you provide!

For years I'd been hearing how good this was - after that amount of build up I was sure it would fail to live up to expectations. I was wrong - it was a fantastic experience, and despite having never heard the soundtrack (at least not knowingly) before, I am still humming random melodies from it today. The cast were wonderful, particularly Randal Keith as Valjean (I almost hate to single one person out, but one solo was just incredible). I've found I generally prefer musicals in smaller theaters where you can see facial expressions even from the back row, and feel more a part of the experience, but this definitely ranks high in my all time favorites, and of all the large scale shows I've seen it was without a doubt the best.

I was disappointed that they cut the song "Little People." The performance was well done however, I could have done with a little less shouting of the lyrics. The overall performance of the character Jean Valjean was wonderful the actor's range and clarity of voice was impressive.
