The symphony's performance was very weak. They needed more rehearsal time. The Divas were poor singers. The best part of the show was the cantor, who did his utmost to entertain, and had a nice voice.
A very lackluster evening.

The concert was great and that gets four stars. However there were some problems with the tickets. Instead of front orchestra, which I had paid for, we were given back orchestra. We were told the concert had been oversold.

I thought the evening was remarkable! I loved Noreen Green and thought her explanations of the music were wonderful! Kudos to all the performers!

Considering the title "Sephardic, Latin Music" I expected the evening to be very lively and full of energy. I was a little disappointed that it was so subdued, there could have been a much livelier selection of Sephardic and Latin songs.

the music was boring, the pices were too sad for flamenco. The best were the mariachi divas. I would not come back again.

It was a great concert. Dr. Noreen Green was fantastic. Fabulous selection of music. Mariachis and Marcelo Gindlin added the Spanish/Mexican flavor. Viva GoldStar!

First half of the program was very dull, boring music. I think it was music written for other musicians--not for an audience.
Second half was better. Cantor Gindlin was incredible. Second half of program was a bit more peppy.

The mixture of selections was terrific. We especially loved the cantor and the mariachis. The venue is near perfect. The only problem is the noise you actually pick up from the Hollywood Bowl across the freeway.

The orchestra was quite mediocre. The connecting theme was loose at best, ridiculous at worst. It's a stretch connecting Mariachi music to Jewish Sephardic roots. The man who sang the three Ladino tunes did his best with a limited voice, but his rendition of Mexican Augustin Lara's "Granada" in which he exhorted the audience to shout "olé" was so corny it produced a rousing "oy vey" from my group of friends. Frankly, the most exciting moments of the evening were the noisy and interruptive cheers from the Bowl audience on the other side of the pass.

The outcome of the show did not fullfilled our expectations.
We wanted to appreciate the talent of Adam del Monte, and he was shadowed and left behind, like second class artist. He should've have a solo. Then, the Mariachis Divas...why Latino culture is always related to Mexican culture like we don't have other latino population?
To be able to find a table for picnic it was and adventure, many people agree with me.

The program was totaly incoherent, the first half was boring music. The coice of the pieces that were played couldn't have been poorer. Marcelo Gindlin sang three boring cantatas in the first half and was great and delightful in the second half. Adam del Monte is a great guitar player, who was stuck in a bad program, as were the Divas. The last 20 minutes or so were fun but all together it just didn't work.

Really great music, performers. Nice blend of Sephardic classical and folk music as well as Latin and Mexican mariachi music. Green explained so that those not familiar with the music could relate. The Cantor got the whole audience involved in singing and moving to the music which was lovely on a summer outside evening performance. Thank you!
