The Amazing Los Angeles Race is designed to feel like a hybrid of a sightseeing tour, The Da Vinci Code and The Amazing Race. I loved this event. But - I am a big fan of sitting under the stars with good friends, good wine and good music. The LA Phil was extraordinary, as ever, and it was pretty cool seeing John Fogerty still rockin' after all these years. :)
This was the best concert I have ever attended. The Hollywood Bowl is magnificent and very customer friendly. We took the Red Line and then the free shuttle from Hollywood and Highland to and from the Bowl. Excellent half price seats! The Philharmonic was inspiring and John Fogerty was incredible. The whole Bowl was rocking! Goldstar provides a great service. July 3 and 4 seemed to be totally sold out, so July 2 was perfect at the best price!

Each year since its founding in 1919, the Los Angeles Philharmonic has been hailed as Southern California's leading performing arts institution. Today, under the dynamic leadership of Esa-Pekka Salonen, who became the orchestra's tenth music director in 1992, the Philharmonic is recognized as one of the world's outstanding orchestras. Both at home and abroad it has, as the Berliner Zeitung stated, "...proved that it belongs among the best in the United States." This is a view shared by the more than one million Southern Californians who experience performances by the Los Angeles Philharmonic each year.
