Went to see The Avengers in 3D at El Capitan Theater. The tickets wre purchased through Goldstar for $12 each not including the online fee. The movie is awesome. Action and very funny.
My boyfriend and I parked across the street from El Capitan for $10. Keep in mind if one entrance to the parking lor is closed there might be another entrance to the same parking lot right around the block.
We arrived one hour early. First thing I did was go to the box office located right in fron the entrance of El Capitan, and traded in my goldstar voucher for the tickets. Went to stand in the general admission line which was quiet long when I arrived. While in line someone from El Capitan came along and teared our ticket stubs and gave us a comic book, which was given to everyone who had a paid ticket to the 4am showing only.
Then when entering they checked to make sure we had our tickets. My boyfriend and I walked into the right side of the theater and found seats immediately. We sat 4 seats away from the VIP section, and 5 rows up from the screen. There were plenty of empty seats in front of us and some behind us.
We left a sweater to save our seats while we went to the restroom before the movie started. The restrooms were located downstairs. It was downstrairs where we discovered a showcase of original Costumes used in the movie, the Silver Surfer statute as well as Iron Man, and Marvel Action Figures. I'm sure the displayss change according to the movies shown.
Overall, I had an awesome experience I would definitely watch another movie at El Capitan as long as I know it's of interest to me.
