One of the most unique voices in music today, Matisyahu is a reggae musician who fuses the traditional sounds of that genre with rock, hip-hop and dub, in addition to singing freely about his Jewish faith. Matisyahu burst onto the scene with his hit single "King Without a Crown" and since has produced several acclaimed albums, including this year's Spark Seeker, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Reggae Chart. The Dirty Heads deliver an energetic blend of rock, reggae and hip-hop reminiscent of Sublime. Displaying their SoCal roots proudly, the band's signature carefree attitude shines through on their latest album Cabin by the Sea.

From chart-topping radio hits ("You're Sixteen") to award-winning Disney movie songs ("Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious") and beloved theme park classics ("It's a Small World"), Richard M. Sherman is one of the most prolific and acclaimed family-friendly song composers of all time. The Sherman Brothers songwriting duo, comprised of Richard M. Sherman and his late brother, Richard B. Sherman, was a veritable two-man Disney hit factory, crafting memorable melodies for numerous films including Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book, Winnie the Pooh, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and many more. Over the course of their nearly half-century songwriting career, the brothers were honored with two Academy Awards (for the music of Mary Poppins), three Grammy Awards and 24 gold and platinum albums. This conversation at Goodman Theatre, moderated by Chicago Tribune critic Chris Jones, takes a look back at Sherman's astonishing career and achievements. Along with the illuminating discussion, you'll also be treated to a light breakfast buffet reception plus an exclusive sampling of some of Sherman's unforgettable songs. Learn More

The Dirty Heads we great - they killed it. I'm not feeling Matisyahu's new stuff. I came to the concert to hear the music that put his name on the map. He's starting to get into electronic and house sounding stuff and it's pretty bad. My husband agreed and he actually loves house. BUT - the few old songs he did - they are awesome!
