Based on Green Day's Grammy-winning concept album of the same name, American Idiot is a high-energy, two-time Tony-winning rock opera featuring the songs from the album, with direction by Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening), choreography by Steven Hoggett (Black Watch) and orchestrations and arrangements by Tom Kitt (Next to Normal). The story follows three lifelong friends -- Johnny, Will and Tunny -- as they are forced to choose between following their dreams or staying in the safety of the suburbs. Popular songs from American Idiot include "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "21 Guns," "Wake Me Up When September Ends," "Holiday" and the title track, which was nominated for four Grammys when it was released in 2005. Either I was bracing myself for a nose dive or tampering my expectations - either way - I was blown away and deeply moved - it was a great show. Authentic and vulnerable but not at all sappy or shameful. Mike told it like it is and pulled no punches,
After a highly successful bout on Broadway, the acclaimed one-man show, Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth is hitting Southern California this March. Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth is a rare, personal look inside the life and mind of one of the most feared men ever to wear the heavyweight crown. Directed by Academy Award nominee Spike Lee, this riveting one-man show goes beyond the headlines, behind the scenes and between the lines to deliver a must-see theatrical knockout. “After successful runs in Las Vegas and on Broadway, I’m excited to take Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth on tour and share it with my fans across the country,” said Tyson. “Undisputed Truth is my story – I'm giving my all.”
