More Information About Momma Stud

Description

One of the most influential bands from the 80's/early 90's to come from the Los Angeles. Momma Stud fused new groove, soul and funk to create a sound that conjured the likes of a modern Sly & the Family Stone, mixed with a little Al Green and Parliament/Funkadelic.

They took the club scene by storm in the late 80's and were proven to be way ahead of their time in the early 90's with the release of "Cockadoodledoo" on Virgin Records produced by Bernie Worrell - in an era prior to the success of bands like Arrested Development or The Brand New Heavies.

They toured with such greats as; Nirvana, No Doubt, Ziggy Marley, and numerous others worldwide.

Now, after a decade of silence, Momma Stud returns to the stage.  For any fan, this will be a must-see performance.
