Hit Rock Musical HAIR Returns to Hollywood
- Full Price:
- $40.00
- Our Price:
- $20.00
With spirited music and colorful characters, HAIR remains an audience favorite, long after its original Broadway debut in the '60s. Indeed, the 2009 revival cast recording was Billboard's top-selling Broadway album. High-energy inspirational songs like "Aquarius," "Let the Sun Shine In," "Good Morning, Starshine" and "Easy To Be Hard" continue to stir theater audiences as they witness a "tribe" of politically-active New York City friends searching for answers in turbulent 1967. Though the long-haired bohemian companions may look different in style from today's youth, they face the same essential struggle to separate from their parents, define themselves in society, and stand by their personal beliefs in the face of pressure to conform. Award-winning production company theTRIBE performs this electrifying musical, whose original cast recording was America's top-selling album for 13 weeks. Learn More

Excellent acting and directing. The video still- images did not however add anything and were somewhat distracting. Some of the story lines went on a bit long and the play would have benefited from some more editing. Overall, however, a powerful story well enacted.Written on May 26 2009

Compelling, thought-provoking and entertaining. Great direction, writing and performances in an intimate theater (so all the seats are "good"). And you can't beat the price.Written on Apr 28 2009

Well, Buzzworks has done it again! First-rate work, tight direction and bare but imaginative set dressing (kept the focus where it needed to be - on the dialogue), and spot-on casting - the actors completely inhabited their respective characters. I walked out of this one fully sated; there's nothing quite like an intense, deeply gratifying night of theater. This is one of the very few companies in the LA area which consistently delivers high-quality, intelligent, mildly (or wildly, in the case of The Bad Seed) humorous fare with every production they stage (the folks at the Fountain are the only ones I would score higher). GO BUZZWORKS and thank you!Written on May 29 2009

I was very impressed with every member of the cast. They dealt with a very emotional subject matter in an honest and often funny way that made you think but never made you turn away. I highly recommend to anyone interested in the complexities of life to check it out.Written on May 11 2009
