The funeral of Sister Rose Marie, an alcoholic religious disciplinarian, brings together twelve outrageously diverse flawed Harlem characters in this acclaimed play by Stephen Adly Guirgis. Sister Rose Marie may have been a mean drunk of an Irish nun schoolteacher, but she caused her former students to examine the many lessons they've learned from her as they struggle against the tide of their lives, sometimes succeeding, sometimes failing, in doing the right thing. And there's one other complication: somebody has stolen the body. Learn More

This play was very good and we were impressed with everyone's performances, with a few key players that REALLY stood out. It takes a bit to get going, but once it does, it will have you out loud laughing. I recommend it, we really enjoyed ourselves.Written on Oct 20 2008

I typically never go to see comedy play's, but this one in particular caught my eye. It was really funny, and the synopsis was excellent. The theater was a bit tricky to find, but it was worth it. The only reason I didn't give it the full star rating was because it was a little short (1 Hour 10 Minutes). I would have liked to seen the plot developed a bit more, but if you're looking for a few laughs, and a fun little mystery - "Night Stories" doesn't disappoint.Written on Oct 14 2008
