The funeral of Sister Rose Marie, an alcoholic religious disciplinarian, brings together twelve outrageously diverse flawed Harlem characters in this acclaimed play by Stephen Adly Guirgis. Sister Rose Marie may have been a mean drunk of an Irish nun schoolteacher, but she caused her former students to examine the many lessons they've learned from her as they struggle against the tide of their lives, sometimes succeeding, sometimes failing, in doing the right thing. And there's one other complication: somebody has stolen the body. Learn More

Very creative play. You can see this was a labor of love. The actors really put their all into their roles, especially the two leads, Joe Davis Massingill ( also the writer and co/director) and Forrest Lancaster. Kudos Joe!Written on Aug 08 2011

Description
Passing Proper:
On the run from the law, two modern-day bank robbers hop a mysterious old freight train and find themselves in a boxcar full of forgotten and unopened HD- DVD players. As they journey west through the barren desert of Southern Arizona with a bag of cash and obsolete cargo for chairs, they encounter a wily train engineer and an angelic woman playing guitar. At first fixated on the lawmen who are hunting them, the two fugitives eventually discover that the most dangerous threat is already in the boxcar.
Passion and Precision:
A writer, Trick Emerson, struggles to communicate his vision and passion to his new agent, Jake McGraw. Trick wants to be a screenwriter, and Jake supports that desire, but pushes his own agenda, every chance he gets. Michelle Lobe, Jake’s assistant, is caught in between the writer and his agent as they battle over the meaning of art, and entertainment. As the two men struggle with each other toward a violent conclusion, the true nature of Jake’s agenda is revealed.
