Written on Feb 04 2013Without a doubt this was the most over-hyped, over-acted, over-miked, over-mugged show I have ever attended. How I wish I could have seen Mary Martin in the role of Peter so long ago. Cathy Rigby postures, mugs, smirks her way through the role. The rest of the cast were adequate but acted as if they were cartoon versions of their characters. I grew up with Peter Pan and for many years nightly expected Tinker Bell and/or Peter to appear on MY window sill for the trip to Neverland. Sigh, it never happened. The man sitting next to me left at intermission, and I was tempted to do the same but stayed. At least getting to admire the wonders of the Pantages always makes up for a great deal.
