Legendary musician, producer and humanitarian Quincy Jones makes a rare concert appearance with a talent-packed show featuring his own Global Gumbo All-Star Band, along with special guest Gloria Estefan, Patti Austin and up-and-comers Nikki Yanofsky and Alfredo Rodriguez. There'll be stars as far as the eye can see both above the Bowl and on stage as Jones leads this live concert celebration of his sixth decade in show biz with a mix of jazz, big band, hip hop, R&B and pop music. A Kennedy Center Honoree in 2001, Jones is not only the winner of 27 Grammy Awards and a Grammy Living Legend Award, but he is the most nominated Grammy artist of all time with a total of 79. Also scheduled to appear with him in concert are The Brothers Johnson, Richard Bona, Paulinho Da Costa, Nathan East, Seiko Matsuda and the Quincy Jones All-Star Big Band.

This was a very exceptional event. Quincy Jones seems a completely caring man. I loved to see that side of him with his performers. The music was wonderful.

The perennial icon of musical cool makes a rare live concert appearance in celebration of his six-decade career. Ranging from big band to the most happening stars of today's pop, R&B, and hip-hop, this evening will be a historic performance and a glittering gathering.

Jones is the recipient of an Emmy Award for his score of the landmark TV miniseries Roots, seven Oscar nominations, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, 27 Grammy Awards, and the Grammy Living Legend Award. He is the all-time most nominated Grammy artist with a total of 79 Grammy nominations and a Kennedy Center Honoree.
