When a couple suffers a tragic accident, their grief propels them into a fantastical world where the Tooth Fairy sings, their flight attendant is a cross dresser and GI Joe offers family counseling. It's a lyrically absurd journey of love, loss and laughter. Jenny Schwartz's play is directed by Rory Kozoll and features Troy Blendell, Paul Caramagno, Alana Dietze, Andrea Grano, Tara Karsian, Amanda Saunders and Jeremy Lee Shranko. God's Ear was a finalist for the 2007 Susan Smith Blackburn Award. Learn More

Description
Oversexed and underappreciated, Alice begins her journey as a diabolically ambitious nine-year-old determined to lip-synch her way to the top. Unfortunately, her lifelong quest for greatness is consistently thwarted by community theater directors, child beauty pageant queens, religious fanatics, corporate drones—even her own family—until one day she has a revelation that could either land her in an institution or pave the way to glory and peace for all. Alice Johnson brings more than 30 characters to life in this one-woman comic odyssey into the heart of ambition, belonging and family. It's a tall tale in a very small town.
Written and performed by Alice Johnson
Directed by Rod Menzies

Other credits include "Sex and the City," Miramax Short Films and the soon-to-be released film "Shortcut to Happiness," with Alec Baldwin and Anthony Hopkins. Alice just returned from performing St. Alice at Tulane University in New Orleans, her alma mater.
