The actors were phenomenal as was the story, direction and staging, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and I didn't want the story to end. My companion had a hard time hearing one of the lead actresses which hurt the experience for her a bit, she also thought the theater was also a bit too warm, but I was comfortable and enjoyed every last minute of this marvelous play.
I loved the way they changed scenes and actors, I truly can't say enough good things about this play, I wasn't particularly a fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's work before this but this whetted my appetite. I didn't guess the "bad guys" and was really surprised at the outcome of the play.
Fun show, good acting.
This play was boring and excruciatingly lengthy. How bad was it?
It was so bad that we would rather have watched one of the episodes of Star Trek in which Data (Brent Spiner) plays Sherlock Holmes; at least that would have been confined to the space of one hour.
We were glad the actors spoke quickly--to get through the incredibly garrulous dialogue--(the fact that it made them difficult to understand not being a downside) but we still had to leave at intermission.
