Shrek is not just for kids. The cast is brilliant! The story is one that we all know, but the performers do an excellent job at keeping things fresh and entertaining. The set changes are seamless and create a continuous flow to the overall performance. I recommend bringing a warm sweater as the theater is kept VERY cool.Written on Jul 15 2011

Visual delight from beginning to end. King Farqua(?) was a riot. Singing was spectacular especially the young Fiona, and Dragon but all the rest were more than worth the price of admission. This one is special don't miss it.Written on Jul 15 2011

I was very surprised at what a terrific show this is! Holds true to the movie, but has some added adult humor done tastefully. Great sining/dancing. We had 5th row center in the mezzanine (balcony)--excellent seats!Written on Jul 13 2011

Description
Shrek the Musical, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks film that started it all, brings the hilarious story of everyone’s favorite ogre to life on the stage.
In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre -- not a handsome prince -- shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Throw in a donkey who won’t shut up, a villain with a short temper, a cookie with an attitude and more than a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand... and his name is Shrek.
Featuring a terrific score of 19 all-new songs, big laughs, great dancing and breathtaking scenery, Shrek the Musical is part romance, part twisted fairy tale and all irreverent fun for everyone!
