Written on Mar 18 2011TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT! FALSE ADVERTISING!
The sign-in desk was NO WHERE to be found. I saw NO concerts & heard NO bands. I did find the "pub-crawl" sign-in @ Pig & Whistle on Hollywood Blvd (& my name was on the list, odd?) and received a wristband, green cup, and flyer card listing bars that supposedly honor drink specials between certain hours, then sent on our way. We tried to make the best of it because this was NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED OR PAID FOR......
The Pub Crawl was supposedly a different event from the Beer Festival, but obviously got combined together. This thing SUCKED so badly due to mismanagement. Unless there was location change or sound proof venue with a hidden door I am assuming that the Beer Festival GOT CANCELED, yet NO ONE WAS TOLD! and YES, we did ask everyone in sight where the Festival was (including guys who gave us the wristband).....NO ONE knew where it was.
Pub Crawl: My group arrived around 4:30, which only left a few bars that would honor the pud crawl "deal". NO ONE told us there was time limitations AND ALL the bars had deal "restrictions" (not the bar's fault). I then found out the "deal" people paid for (wristband & cup) was being given to everyone! Again, not the bar's fault. It's called HAPPY HOUR>>DUH!
This was a SCAM in my book. I'm sure they didn't mean it to be, but WTF?!
Written on Mar 18 2011You were supposed to check in at the Egyptian, but instead it was at Pig 'N Whistle. They were supposed to give you a ticket for beer or vodka mixed drink but you only got beer. There was no entertainment in the courtyard as promised. All we got for the admission price was a wristband and 1 beer, which we could have bought for $2. The waitress didn't even come to our table. It was a terrible experience. We didn't even need tickets because they didn't get us anything except one beer each. So I paid $20 + service for the 2 of us for $4 in beer. I couldn't even get the vodka mixed drink with the ticket. The whole thing sucked and I feel like I and everyone else that bought tickets got ripped off. Never again. I sent an email already this morning with my complaint about the event (if you could call it that).
