I really enjoyed the event. I can't say enough about the staff. They were very helpful in all regards. The sound was great, there was a good view of the stage anywhere you sat, and the seats were quite comfortable for average people. If you have a large sized person with you, such as I did, I would suggest requesting accommodations of some sort beforehand. My friend was uncomfortable due to the size of the seats and the side armrests. I do believe they can make accommodations for anyone who is physically disabled, although they do mention in there website to confer with them about your needs before purchasing the tickets.Written on Aug 21 2006
There is a great little place right next door for coctails and food if you would like. We didn't try the food, but the coctails were decent, although a bit pricey for simple drinks..I don't consume alcohol and was charged over $6 for a club soda. The ambiance was casual yet refined. If you do decide to go a little early you can go next door like I mentioned, or just walk around if the shops are open, considering there are some great shops and european furniture places in that 2-3 mile radius.

More Information About Summer of Tears Sketch Show
Description

The sketch comedy troupe Summer of Tears began when childhood friends Todd Waldman and Rob Kerkovich decided to form a band. Waldman had attended Oxford and Kerkovich was the son of a steel worker in East London. Their first recruits were found in the duet Nicholas Massouh and Kirstin Eggers, who Kerkovich saw perform as "Coco & Lannette" on a Carnival cruise line ship.

After performing for several months as "The Sensations", Waldman suggested that the group's sound could be "punched up" by a good horn section, so vice-enthusiast Tony Liebetrau and subway performer Will Greenberg were asked to join. Legend then has it that someone in the group (most likely Massouh) claimed that all good bands "have four breasts instead of two" so solo acoustic artist Sara Nixon-Kirschner was coerced into joining. Summer of Tears was now ready to set out and take the music world by storm. Unfortunately, one record deal and 37 live performances later, the group realized they couldn't actually play any instruments, and begrudgingly decided to take up sketch comedy instead. Constantly on the verge of breaking up, and always wishing they were playing the Staples Center , Summer of Tears just wants to rock you... with comedy.
