Experience one of Buster Keaton's classic silent films in the amazing Egyptian Theatre. This event begins with a presentation of the new Art Deco Los Angeles architecture wiki database created by the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles, followed by a screening of Buster Keaton's 1928 comedy The Cameraman shot on the streets of L.A. at the height of the Deco era. In the film, Buster has a huge crush on Sally, an adorable office worker for MGM Newsreels. Buster gives up his tintyping job and gets himself a camera, with a scheme to catch the attention of both Sally and MGM. The novice cameraman is in the right place at the right time to capture a Tong war in the middle of Chinatown, and must narrowly escape plenty of disasters, in classic Buster Keaton style.
