This show is a blast. Mr. van Straaten is terribly funny and quick. Fun, professional format...this is not another Desperate Actor Showcase or cliquey/in-joke/smartaleck/hipster improv bore in LA...great value for great comedy, charming romantic possibilities, and a cool guest...Margaret Cho was my first and she was predictably great.

Was lots of fun! Mr Van Straaten witty equivocating is hysterical and he keeps this show jumping as he did it's predecessor "What's My Line"
Henry Winkler was wonderful and the rest of the panel advocates gave great performances as well. One "format" thought for Mr. Van Straaten to consider. How bout dismissing the final two while the panel deliberates conference style. Audience listening in would be very funny. Then bring back contestent who we haven't seen for a while and have the winner walk on so we can see the contestant's reaction.

My personal favorite would be the stand-up comedian who got the ball rolling. Jody I think was her name. She was uproarious, witty and fun.

The show was good. I especially like Mr. Van Straaten. He's an excellent host. Fast to respond with good come-backs, clever and indeed fun, not to mention hilarious. It was fun to actually watch real people get fixed up.

Venue: Theater was a good size, seats were comfortable, leg rooms seem to be reasonable.
Food: none for sale.
Parking: street parking is available. Go early to find good spots. Otherwise valet is also an option.

Last night was my second time attending this show. It is excellent and very entertaining. J. Keith van Straaten is amazingly quick and constantly pulls references from earlier in the show to keep good jokes running - just my kind of humor. The celebrity guests include some great personalities, and Henry Winkler was no exception. He brought a lot of wit and charm to the proceedings. Both times I've brought my wife and son, and it was a great experience for all of us!

Description

J. Keith van Straaten hosts this new hybrid panel/dating show with special celebrity guests and real singles looking for love.

A panel of three people -- two who know the single person well and one celebrity who has never met the person -- interrogates potential suitors in an effort to find a match for him/her. The matched pair wins a meal at a local restaurant and goes on a real date! How did our panel do? Come back next week to find out!

Unlike other dating shows from the last 30 years, The Fix-Up Show promises civility, with no humiliation, objectifying, drunken seduction, or having to eat bugs to prove one's affection. It's a dating show where the participants have an actual chance of finding a good date. It's all real, spontaneous, and fun for all.

It's the kind of show you could bring your mom to —or fix her up on. Old and young, gay and straight all are given a chance to find a match on The Fix-Up Show.

All guests are scheduled to appear and subject to change without notice.
