I enjoyed this play up to the scene of the ' Klan Brothers ', I did not care for that part. Other than that, I liked the play.Written on Dec 15 2007

The talented cast handles this screwball comedy very well. Everyone speaks in accents appropriate to their characters. This quirky theatre had a few lighting problems during the show, which added to the overall hilarious experience!Written on Dec 03 2007

It was a great play, very clever plot, even with a simple country scene and characters to work with. It's a very entertaining play with lots of comedic scenes with irony, jokes and much more. I would recommend anyone to go see it. It's aimed at all audiences. Every actor did a marvelous job, there wasn't one holding anyone back. (The two Klan members are the funniest in the play by far. I think their names are John and Jacob. One plays the backwards country hick, and the other has the part of the slimy pastor trying to scam everyone.) Overall, the play is very well done, and deserves a larger theatre and audience.Written on Dec 18 2007

More Information About The Foreigner
Description
The Meeks’ fishing resort in rural Georgia employs a funny but friendly and simple down-home staff and is often visited by Sgt. "Froggy" LeSueur, a British demolition expert who runs training sessions at a nearby army base. Froggy has brought along a friend, a pathologically shy young man named Charlie who is stressed by circumstances back home and overcome with fear at the thought of making conversation with strangers. So Froggy, before departing and without consulting Charlie, tells all assembled that Charlie is from an exotic foreign country and speaks no English. Once alone, the fun really begins, as Charlie overhears more than he should -- damaging revelations made with the thought that Charlie doesn't understand a word of what is being said. The fact that he does creates hilarious situations throughout his stay as he finds ways to make things go uproariously awry for those determined to undermine the future of the hospitable fishing lodge and those whose livelihood depend on its survival. Cultural and language barriers have no consequences on friendships, scheming and, above all, humor!
