A sold-out critical hit Off Broadway and a big winner at this year's Hollywood Fringe Festival, the raucous comedy Women cleverly retells the beloved story of Louisa May Alcott's March girls as if it were an episode of Lena Dunham's HBO show Girls, complete with the ready-made hashtag #bethdies. And it isn't much of a stretch to imagine Jo, Amy, Beth and Meg existing in both worlds, especially in this fast-paced and keenly-observed series of sketches. Written by Chiara Atik, the show earned a New York Times critics' pick and scored several awards at the 2014 Hollywood Fringe Fest, including Top of the Fringe and Best Comedy. Learn More

Chapter 10 Productions presents The Hollywood Handshake, directed by Rick Edelstein at The Elephant Asylum Theatre.
Cast: Clem Jeffreys, Bryan Cuprill & Jessica Meyerson
Can success and morality co-exist in Hollywood? Over the course of just two days, a producer, his superior and a temp all press the flesh – in more ways than one – to achieve their dreams. But in Hollywood, everyone crosses their fingers. A serio-comedic look at the real drama the film industry produces.
Rick Edelstein has worked in Hollywood for more than 50 years, most notably as a director and/or writer for Sanford and Son, Starsky and Hutch, Maude, The Bob Newhart Show, and Marcus Welby, M.D.. In addition to TV, Rick has also directed and/or written for various theatrical productions in New York City and Los Angeles, including the original piece Human Scratchings with Anthony Geary of General Hospital, for which he was awarded “Best Director” by Dramalogue.
