Disney's The Little Mermaid comes to El Capitan Theatre where every screening features a live appearance by Ariel herself! Known for kickstarting the "Disney Renaissance" of animated hit films in the late-'80s and '90s, The Little Mermaid brings to life Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale about a young mermaid whose yearning to visit the world above the sea leads her to trade her beautiful voice to Ursula, the sea witch, in exchange for the chance to meet Prince Eric.

My 3 year old was in AWE with Ariel's appearance! It was great to watch the movie on a big screen.

Enjoyed the movie and the theatre is beautiful but the "stage show" was very minor compared to what I have seen here before. My 5 year old grand daughter didn't know the difference however, and loved it. Seeing Ariel "in person" was great to her.

Favorite Disney film, my wife is expecting and we went since we're considering naming our little one Ariel. It was so great seeing the film on the large silver screen. The sound was great and gave real "life" to the GREAT musical composing of this film. Sadly its true that it did not look very remastered, but instead nostalgic.

While the glittering backdrop and bubbles in the air were nice, the small short-lived Ariel "appearance" left much to be desired. I believe the word Meet should be ommited and replaced with See. I'd still go again regardless and Disney most likely counts on this.
