Improvatorium, the company that brought you Zombience and Hitchcocked, brings you Pure Improv, a hilarious short-form improv show at Theatre Asylum. With long-form improv currently in fashion, Improvatorium returns to improvised scenes, songs, extended scenes, and traditional improv games that are now almost considered retro. The show is directed by Patrick Bristow (Ellen, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Who's Line is it Anyway?) and stars a rotating cast with a new special guest each show. Learn More

the writing was spotty and show slow with a lot of "self importance" and "self worship" by the writer/ actor. not a good show and not funny but his physique is nothing short od amazing! this show can be salvage by him being at least top less for the second half of the show (it can be worked into the story).Written on Jul 28 2008

The acting was good (a little over acting) the writing could have been a little more interesting, clearer conflict to come earlier, and for the most part the it held my attention. The director was still watching critically and putting in corrections I assume afterward, So I'm sure it will keep getting better. Three character makes it more challenging to maintain interest at least in this play. One of two more characters to spread the interest.Written on Jun 23 2008

More Information About the nothing boys
Description
You only get one ten-year reunion....
On the ten-year anniversary of his adulthood, Gregory James goes back to school. And on this Long Island evening in June, he and the other "nothing boys" will finally graduate. This new stage comedy was inspired by a real event.
By Greg Siff
Directed by Rick Sparks
Starring Mark Christopher Tracy, Jason Weissbrod and Greg Siff
Playwright Greg Siff explains "the nothing boys is a fictionalized story based on a true incident. After high school graduation, I’d been surviving as an actor in Hollywood, California. It had been ten years since seeing all the faces I grew up with when an invitation to our reunion appeared in the mail. With excited anticipation, I returned to my hometown for the event, to discover only one other student present. Just one. Good ol’ Marshall. Everyone else seemed to be too busy to show. But this one-on-one meeting was meant to be. I wanted to write a story about the cusp of aging, and what it means to look outside of the mirror of yourself and see who you really are and what you are to meant to be. My dream was almost out of fire when I returned home, and this event became the gasoline. It is always when your dreams seem dead that life grips its two hands together and pounds the hell out of your chest and shouts, 'Wake up!'"
Rick Sparks (Director)
