The tumultuous lives of stand-ups get their due in the new comedy Against The Wall. Based on playwright Charlie Mount's real-life experiences working as a comedian in New York, this theatrical premiere follows volatile young funny man Jeff, who turns to hostility in front of the mic when life stops having meaning away from it. Worried he's heading for a crash, Jeff's best friend sets him up with a beautiful performance artist whose environmentalism masks her own deep well of pain and psychic distress. Together, these two angst-ridden souls begin knocking down each other's walls, uncovering truths about their own comedic sensibilities, and something like love. Learn More

This insightful, Depression-era tale of frustrated lives and spiritual emptiness is set in a gas station and lunchroom along an Arizona highway. The daughter of the station’s owner longs to go to Paris to paint. She falls in love with Alan Squier, a failed author who stops at the restaurant on his way to California and proposes elopement. Everything changes when the escaped criminal Duke Mantee arrives and holds them hostage, painting the plight of the search for values in a decadent civilization.
Please note: There will be loud explosive special effects sounds in the 2nd act.
