When a couple suffers a tragic accident, their grief propels them into a fantastical world where the Tooth Fairy sings, their flight attendant is a cross dresser and GI Joe offers family counseling. It's a lyrically absurd journey of love, loss and laughter. Jenny Schwartz's play is directed by Rory Kozoll and features Troy Blendell, Paul Caramagno, Alana Dietze, Andrea Grano, Tara Karsian, Amanda Saunders and Jeremy Lee Shranko. God's Ear was a finalist for the 2007 Susan Smith Blackburn Award. Learn More

The scenes are too short and disjoint....just when something interesting starts happening they're on to the next scene. The pacing made it very difficult to care about any of the charactersWritten on Feb 12 2007

Description
<p>In Thursday, a day like no other, ex-TV star, Marcy returns home from 8 years in Hollywood to find that George is dating Allison and Pete is hopelessly in love with Jimmy and even the Post Office might not want the skills of a former TV star. Marcy’s got to get a job, Pete’s gotta get Jimmy, George isn’t so sure what to do and Marcy better watch her back. Adam Bock’s Thursday is a comically tragic, tragically comic play about a group of friends making the journey into adulthood-- whether they like it or not. Their road is filled with a thousand obstacles. The way they handle them is what becomes what their lives, and ours, are made of.</p> <p>The Echo production stars Elizabeth Bennett, Britt Erickson, Emily Kosloski, Misi L. Lecube, Nino Mancuso, Jeremy Maxwell, Aaron Moody, and Christopher Shaw. The design team includes Mindy Eshelman, costume design, Lisa D. Katz, lighting design, Drew Dalzell, sound design, and Mina Kinukawa, scenic design.</p> <p>“Our mission is to discover, nurture, and present new and exciting writers like Adam Bock,” says Echo Artistic Director Chris Fields. “We focus on collaboration. We believe in process. We like to think we're a true friend to the playwright."</p>
