When a couple suffers a tragic accident, their grief propels them into a fantastical world where the Tooth Fairy sings, their flight attendant is a cross dresser and GI Joe offers family counseling. It's a lyrically absurd journey of love, loss and laughter. Jenny Schwartz's play is directed by Rory Kozoll and features Troy Blendell, Paul Caramagno, Alana Dietze, Andrea Grano, Tara Karsian, Amanda Saunders and Jeremy Lee Shranko. God's Ear was a finalist for the 2007 Susan Smith Blackburn Award. Learn More

A hoot. Gone now but I liked it so much must advise that if French Stewart is in similar show you consider. This was all in the hands of the actors. It could have been just a situation comedy but Metcalf and Stewart had superb timing. This reviewer sees many plays and other entertainments and not one brought as many laughs and straight up fun as this one. Just remember it is the performance not the piece so no guarantee Voice Lessons would work in other hands. I Love Lucy works with Lucy and Ricky.

I wish it would extend its run again. Laurie Metcalf just tears it up.For the wannabes in this world you should see what can be done in an hour with three great talents.

French Stewart is phenomenal as the prissy, uptight vocal coach who refuses to take on Laurie Metcalf's truly bizarre and talent-free would be star of the musical stage. This comedy, at just over an hour, flew by like the wind with non stop laughs. Tanner's script is a gem, these two characters, plus a third, are great inventions. It's full of surprises and just one of the best times I've had in theatre recently. Run to this one. Although we arrived late and sat in the back on the side, there are no bad seats in this house.

I'm not going to claim the writing was brilliant, because it wasn't. The characters weren't well developed and the plot kind of didn't go anywhere. But I still had a great time because Metcalf and Stewart were insanely good in their roles. It was a short, fast-moving piece with a lot of funny lines. Good bite-sized entertainment. I loved it.
