Over its three-decade history, the Playboy Jazz Festival has hosted the biggest names in jazz from Miles Davis to Ella Fitzgerald. 2012 marks the 34th year of the festival and will feature music from the Christian McBride Big Band, Ozomatli, Boney James, Sheila E., Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Ramsey Lewis Electric Band, Robin Thicke, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Keb' Mo', Terri Lyne Carrington and more. Held at the Hollywood Bowl, the festival offers two terrific days of music in a beautiful outdoor setting. This was a once in a lifetime event, and I wouldn't have known about it without Goldstar! I took my son and a group of friends, and we all had an amazing time. The seats were good, and we had a great picnic before the show, a must at the Hollywood Bowl!Written on Sep 12 2011

Watching it with a live orchestra really made the movie come alive. Much better than just watching it on television. I also love the fact you can bring your own food and picnic before the event.Written on Jul 12 2011

We had a great time inside this event. The show was great BUT the PARKING IS HORRIBLE......I don't plan to ever park at the Hollywood Bowl again. It took us almost 1 hour to get out. It was very stressful.Written on Jul 11 2011
