WICKED is one of the best shows of the 21st century!

This is not the first time using Goldstar, and as usual the service was to notch. My family and I had wanted to see Wicked for a long time, but the price for “good” seats was far too high. Through Goldstar me, my friend and two young daughters had an amazing experience. The money saved allowed us to have a wonderful sit down dinner before the show and make a real night of it.

Although Goldstar didn’t have much to do with the amazing show and the overall beauty of the Pantages, Goldstar made it so we could have a wonderful night.

Thank you Goldstar! Not only for the show but for the smiling faces of my daughters as they sat there transfixed on the stage. It is a memory that I won’t soon forget.

My husband and I really enjoyed the performance! We had great seats with a perfect view of the stage! The actress (Erin Mackey) was fantastic as 'Glinda'. This charactar made the show so entertaining. We loved her one-liners! (Teal Wicks) was great as 'Elphaba'! It was great to see a standing ovation for her "transformation". I loved the ending! The song "Popular" is still running through my head....

I will honestly say that the surrounding area of the Pantages was not so great. Once it became dark, I started to worry about our car, the homeless and other scarier people walking around Hollywood Blvd. There is also not very many nice restaurants near the venue. Be prepared to walk a few blocks away.

I was a little annoyed when the staff let all the late comers find their seats during one of Glinda's musical number. It was hard to see around people trying to get to their seats and thought that this was very rude.

Overall, we had a great time and would recommend the performance to all before the show run ends!

There's a reason it's a Winner of Three Tony Awards...it lives up to it's reputation. Loved Jo Anne Worley and John Rubinstein but then the other leads: Megan Hilty, Caissie Levy and Kristoffer Cusick were also excellent. A show that shouldn't be missed!

But my all time favorite is still the Winner of Five Tony Awards: Momma Mia!

I am usually not a big fan of Broadway and I often resist things that are this popular.
That said, I thought Wicked was fantastic. The music was not nearly as formulaic and I thought the songs were both musically and lyrically excellent.

The cast was fabulous and the story is fun. This is something you will be very happy you went to see. Enjoy!

Seats were great, production was impressive, actors were impecable, and musicians were flawless. Really a good way to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday. I can't stop singing "Popular"... and tossing my hair...

This far suprassed any expectations! The seats were great (I was worried as I've never used Goldstar for an event of this magnitude), and the pre-email letting us know will call was going to be busy due to the heavy response was appreciated, as it helped plan my time better.

I hope to see more offers like this one! :-)

Wicked was fantastic! The story is highly enjoyable as we can all relate to the original Wizard of Oz so easily, and I was impressed with the creativity behind the crafting of such a story. I was involved and intrigued 'till the very end, I wish it was a movie so I could go and see it again. One thing I will say, although the singing was fantastic, I was not as taken in by the songs themselves. They were not as catchy as some of my other musical theater favs, but that did not detract from the story at all.

Well, allow me to explain my rating: The SHOW itself and the performances and the music were superb. Really an amazing production and amazing talent. What I DIDN'T like were my seats. Granted they were at a reduced price...came out to $67.30 apiece instead of $90ish or so...and they were described as "Orchestra" seats, (which is the entire first floor), but they were so far away from the stage (very last row ZZ) that I had to use my binoculars for the whole show in order to really SEE anything more than just shapes moving about the stage. The way the discounted tix worked was that I couldn't see what my actual seats were, til I went and picked them up at the theater at showtime. That info was just not made available at purchase time. I will never again buy unknown seats for a show of this grandeur. It's too important to be able see faces and costumes and detail. T'was not worth the 30% savings to me. Would have a been a much more enjoyable evening if I were about 15 rows closer. I would recommend no further than row M or N for this show at the Pantages. (which is a truly magnificent theater by the way...but needs more women's bathrooms.)

This was my first purchase through goldstar, and I was very impressed. I have to admit that I was nervous that it was not real. But picking up tickets and getting to our seats was too good to be true. Our seats were awesome and the show was absolutely amazing!

Although Wicked has an interesting plot, impressive dancing and very elaborate stage set, the music sounded rather canned. I expected much better music from a musical.

OMG...the seats were UNBELIEVABLE! This is the third time I've seen "Wicked" and I truly did not know what to expect this time, regarding my seats, since I had bought discount tickets. The other two times I paid twice as much and the seats that I had then were much less desirable. I don't know if it's just a crap shoot, but this evening was incredible, mostly because of the great deal that I got and the wonderful seats that I got...WOW! I will use Goldstar for any future events that are available! Thanks so much.

I 'liked' it, but didn't 'love' it. The story held my interest. However, the music was pretty banal; there's nothing from the score which would interest me to hear again. Though the production looked snazzy and lush, I was amazed how the stage had been reduced to the size of a postage stamp so that the stage could be filled by a very small cast (L.A. has 99-seat theaters with larger performance spaces). It was also sad that the voices were heavily amplified; if there was much vocal artistry on stage, it was lost due to the amplification evening out the sound to a dull sameness.

I attended with a six-year-old. She claimed to have been bored, though I think the production values and stage busy-ness held her attention for most of the first act. I think she might have been more interested if she was more familiar with the "Wizard of Oz" story.

Our seats, in center orchestra, five rows from the back of the theater, were absolutely fine.

My sixth time seeing this show so you know I absolutely LOVE it! But although I do thank Goldstar for giving me a break in my wallet and spending, the seats I got were pretty horrible compared to where I've been used to sitting at the Pangtages. I usually sit right in the Center to where you can still see the performers faces, but I bought five tickets for last Friday night's show and we were placed in YY!! Very very disappointing and I wish GoldStar would make it available to let you know which seats you'll be getting before you purchase (like Ticketmaster does).

I was very disappointed with the WICKED Show. I don't see what all the fuss has been over this show. No memorable songs AT ALL. The humor was bland and the story was weak. I'm a HUGE Wizard of Oz fan and I felt that this show was a pathetic attempt at a broadway show. I'm glad I didn't pay full price. I felt ripped off even at 50% off. Sorry.

I think Wicked should be a play with music, in a more intimate setting. Really trying too hard to be a spectacle, and it's dull, as a result.

I had great expectations for Wicked but was quite disappointed. Mostly by the story. A good story has to have a great villain and by turning the villain into a good character you kill the suspense. There is no tension and a lot of scenes were simply boring. The acting and singing and dancing was great though but again, nothing that I haven't seen before. I went to be amazed (as I was for the Lion King) but was only entertained. My problem was the story... lots of fluff and boredom. For a musical that is called itself Wicked.... there was nothing wicked about it.

Super-massive big-time touring Broadway megashow delivers every last drop of the spectacle one expects, especially that atom-bomb Act I finale. But what’s up with the glum, grim and macabre Act II?

Best stage musical I've seen since Phantom/Opera 15+ years ago. Storyline keeps your attention and balances music & dialogue with dance to move it along. Talent (vocals & dance) was outstanding; costumes/make-up spectacular, and sets/props unequaled. A second visit is a must!

The production was FANTASTIC! The venue felt like a Disneyland event not a B'Way show event. I prefer a New York setting for some B'way shows if the audience is going to behave like they are at an amusement park. Keep the cameras at home and bring up your attire a notch for the theatre. Yes, I'm a New York theatre snob!

This is the second time I've seen Wicked at Pantages. I happened to love the first time I saw it and wanted the opportunity to catch it again. While the production was still well-done and put-together (and Megan Hilty is still hilarious in her role as Glinda), I felt that the first troupe I watched was better overall (in performance and vocal quality), but this cast also did a good job. Perhaps I was comparing the two troupes more than I ought to, but I couldn't help it. My companion had not seen Wicked before, but he enjoyed it more than he thought he would. And for the record, I would gladly watch Wicked a third time!

The seats we got were VV, aisle, closer to the center orchestra. Perfect seating and great view [though the Pantages mezzanine kind of blocked our view of the dragon apparatus], just as expected. We had no problems picking up the tickets, and no problem with the seats we got!

The play was great but I had a problem with the tickets...not great seats...and My Mom could not make it on time...She was taking a train from Oceanside to LA and her train was stuck in Irvine due to a hazardous gas leak...Her train didn't get into LA till 9:00pm...I tried to work something out with the Pantages and they were not helpful at all...so my Mom lost out on her Mothers Day gift...in order not to eat the tickets I invited a friend at the last minute...but I still ate the cost of the 2nd ticket....would have been nice if they could have worked something out so I could have taken my Mom at a later date......So that sucked....but the play was great......

I really enjoyed the unexpected twists and turns the plot took as the play developed. It turns out that the perception of each character portrayed by the movie The Wizard of Oz isn't exactly the whole story. The singing and acting was above par and I would recommend the play to anyone that enjoyed the movie from which the play is derived.

Wicked is always amazing, no matter how many times you see it. I purchased GoldStar tickets for the budget-conscious and was surprised to find my "cheap" tickets in the balcony were even better than the expensive floor tickets I had purchased in the past. You get a much better scope of the production sitting above the stage.

I'm a lover of the Golden Era of Broadway; so a bit spoiled and my expectations run high. Wicked had a lot of music and was very long, and although it was visually stunning I found myself itching to beat a path to the exit as soon as the curtain was dropped. Sooner, in fact.

To me, one of the hallmarks of a great musical is the "stickiness" of at least one song that lingers in your mind when the show is over. Yet for all the music crammed into over three hours, none of the songs in Wicked is memorable enough.

I find no fault with the story line itself, the acting or the singing. But the length and the music has earned it a place on my "don't bother to see again" list.

Though I still believe that a good portion of the music in this show is mediocre Broadway fare at best, the story, costumes and overall production value make this one a must see! Highly entertaining night out at the theatre.

Though the theatre snob in me won't allow a four star rating, I must admit that this is a highly entertaining show. The storyline is very cleverly crafted (and much neater than the book, ugh) and the show is cohesive as a whole, despite some weak musical moments. Teal is a marvelous Elphaba, though I believe she has now been replaced by Eden (who is my favorite Elphaba of all time!). I will definitely try to see the show again at least once before it leaves in January, and all other musical theatre fans should as well!

This was a great show my 13 y/o daughter and I loved it. We had a real good time. The seats in orchestra were good. We took advantage of the easy access to the Metro Red Line located across the street so looking for parking was not a problem.

The show was wonderful. The cast is amazingly talented. The current leads, Eden Espinosa and Megan Hilty, were absolutely enchanting. Their vocal range, acting abilities, and personalities entralled the audience from beginning to end. I was transported to another world for two hours. Don't miss this experience!!!!

I've seen this show twice before. This time around, I enjoyed the comedic timing this time. The singing was good, but much better in the second half than the first. Overall a great show.

Goldstar.com has done it again - gone beyond my expectations. I had orchestra seats at nearly half the original price and the seats ended up being 10 rows from center stage, perfect view of the musical - I was close enough to see the actors sweat but far enough to enjoy the whole view. The musical was phenomenal; even when there was a slip up, they were great at playing it off and entertaining the audience. If there was an option beyond "I loved it!" I would have chosen it!

The two female leads had unbelievably beautiful singing voices. Costumes were amazing, esp. a series of green costumes worn by the ensemble. Very imaginative and unique. Kind of Dr. Suessish, almost. Sets worked really well. The highlight for me was the giant Wizard of Oz robot thing. Huge metallic talking (roaring!) set piece with glittering eyes. Really wild. It was a nice storyline, too. And the Pantages, as always, was beautiful in its Art Deco glory. Parking wasn't a problem at all, even on a Sat. night. We pulled right in about an hour before curtain. It was $8.00. Right across the street from the theatre.

Superb set, lightning, costumes, orchestra and FX. Songs are performed great but written only good. Choreography average. Had difficulty understanding Elphaba in some of her songs. Not the sound engineers fault. However, some dialouge I simply could not hear and being seated in the very last row, when I looked over at the sound engineers they were not paying attention to the show. Normally watching from no further than the 5th row I probably will not use Goldstar in the future. Row ZZ under the balcony was clostraphobic.

The seats were great, we ended up in an aisle seat row S center orchestra. The man in front of me was a little tall but the management allowed me to switch to seats that were not obstructed. I've already recommended this site to several friends.

It was my first time at the Pantages and got tickets for the 6:30 Sunday show. We parked across the street closeby for $8. We followed everyone's advice and arrived about 1.5 hours early (traffic was light from OC). We only waited in line for about 15 minutes. Although the tickets were Center Right of the Mezannine, we still had a decent view of the show. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. Thanks, Goldstar for letting me finally see what everyone's been raving about Wicked! I can't wait to tell all my friends about it.

Thanks to Goldstar, I was able to treat my mom and dad, as well as my husband and myself, for the price it would normally cost for just 2 seats. I wasn't worried about getting "bad" seats, since there isn't a bad seat at the Pantages. Thanks for allowing us to see "Wicked" before it left town!

Nothing to say about the show -- you either love it (as we do) or you don't. Regarding the experience: the seats were hardly great -- only a few rows from the very back of the theatre -- but at least the were in the center section. The sound design is excellent, so even that far back you can absolutely hear every word, but you just can't see very well and your view of the dragon is clipped by the balcony. But, at half-off, I guesss "you get what you pay for" comes to mind.

Wow!!!! What an amazing show. I saw it a little over a year ago with my mom and daughter and loved it then too. This time was magical though. I was able to attend with my husband and our best friends. If it was not for your wonderful pricing I do not think that any of us would have been able to see the show prior to it leaving Hollywood. The seats were great too. Thank you so much for the experience!!!!

Wicked was quite a visual experience. The story came together in the end but was a little slow to gain momentum in the beginning. Actors were fantastic and talented but some songs went long and sometimes misplaced. But overall an enjoyable ride. We did catch the understudies of the two main characters but wouldn't have traded Marcie and Laura for anything!

The Los Angeles company of Wicked, Broadway's biggest blockbuster, is now in its second year at the Pantages Theatre.

Wicked tells the untold story of the witches of Oz. Long before Dorothy drops in, two other girls meet in the land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. Wicked tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch.

Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and book by Winnie Holzman. It is directed by Joe Mantello, with musical staging by Wayne Cilento. Wicked is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone.

Wicked was developed, written and had its earliest readings and workshops in Los Angeles. It is now truly a worldwide phenomenon with four companies in North America - Broadway, Chicago, on national tour, and Los Angeles, as well as productions in London, Tokyo, and Stuttgart, and a fourth international production opening next summer in Melbourne. The Grammy Award-winning (Best Musical Show Album) original cast recording of Wicked has been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), for sales of more than one million copies.
