My date and I walked out at the intermission. Except for the female Puck, the other actors' performances were shallow and wooden (like middle-school drama productions). They seemed to be merely reciting lines, without any depth or understanding of what Shakespeare intended. Also, this venue (in a tiny a strip-mall storefront) was not big enough to have any acting company do Shakespeare justice.Written on Jun 30 2008

Worse than amateur. Puck was the only enjoyable character. There were five of us in the audience who were not connected to the production and the two who were not in my party left at intermission. The lighting was disjointed, the acting was non-existant, and the music was worse. There was an Elvis interlude that made no sense. And rap was playing somewhere in the background. The stage set consisted of two of what may have represented tree trunks that kept falling over and five black boxes. And the belly dancers were pathetic. It was a waste of a beautiful afternoon.Written on Jun 16 2008
