The boys of Baker Street have their most "Wilde" adventure yet in Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Jersey Lily, a new stage play from Katie Forgette (Assisted Living). History and fantasy mingle when Oscar Wilde brings his dear friend, the actress Lillie Langtry, to see detective Sherlock Holmes and his partner Dr. Watson. Someone has stolen the highly intimate letters Lillie exchanged with the Prince of Wales, and now she is being blackmailed. Holmes takes the case, even doffing his deerstalker to disguise himself as a character from Wilde's upcoming play, The Importance of Being Forthright (working title). Meanwhile, Watson falls head-over-heels for Langtry as a wicked professor tries to disgrace the Crown. Doris Merten directs this Victorian romp at Theatre Suburbia. Learn More

All five ladies were superb! Great comedic timing, wonderful vocals and amazing footwork, these women made a delightful gaggle (?) of nuns with varying physical jokes and repartee. This type of talent is reserved for large stage and off-Broadway productions. I'm amazed that the Texas Repertory Theater commands such talent!
