Flamenco guitarist Roni Benise is known for heating up television screens with his circus-style Nights of Fire concert series on PBS. For this event, he'll scale back while still keeping the flames ignited, playing a concert with his talented band and sultry flamenco dancers. You'll hear the passion of flamenco merged with classic songs from Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Bach and more. Fleshing out his virtuosic guitar work with violin and a Latin band, Benise returns to his roots in the intimate House of Blues, offering an up-close and personal glimpse of a world-class performer. About the Ticket Supplier: House of Blues Houston
House of Blues Houston opened in October of 2008 and is located in downtown Houston. The only House of Blues to be designed in a vertical format, this massive venue is the anchor for the Houston Pavilions outdoor shopping and entertainment complex. The Bronze Peacock Room pays tribute to Houston’s first blues club where Big Momma Thornton and Lightnin’ Hopkins played. The giant hand-painted mural in the restaurant portrays these legends, along with hometown heroes Albert Collins Johnny “Guitar” Watson. In keeping with tradition, the House of Blues Houston displays the “Crazy Quilt” and keeps a metal box of mud from the Delta Mississippi underneath its stage.
