The boys of Baker Street have their most "Wilde" adventure yet in Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Jersey Lily, a new stage play from Katie Forgette (Assisted Living). History and fantasy mingle when Oscar Wilde brings his dear friend, the actress Lillie Langtry, to see detective Sherlock Holmes and his partner Dr. Watson. Someone has stolen the highly intimate letters Lillie exchanged with the Prince of Wales, and now she is being blackmailed. Holmes takes the case, even doffing his deerstalker to disguise himself as a character from Wilde's upcoming play, The Importance of Being Forthright (working title). Meanwhile, Watson falls head-over-heels for Langtry as a wicked professor tries to disgrace the Crown. Doris Merten directs this Victorian romp at Theatre Suburbia. Learn More

Loved it! Very well written, well acted. Really tugged on the heartstrings in places, laughed out loud in others. Tough one to get through without getting teary eyed since I recently lost my Dad. It reminded me to not take relationships for granted.
This is one of the best playhouse venues I've ever been in! The wife and I will surely revisit and are considering season tix. My only wish is being able to take a drink inside (like coffee!) while we watch the play.
There's a concession stand at the theater, with wine available for a suggested donation.
