Wonderful acting, a lesson for anyone associated with youth sports.
This was a unique experience. We attended on a Friday night and our group consisted of four people in the entire six person audience. The play was limited to two actors and no sets other than a bench and a baseball bag of bats & mitts. Aside from that, the actors were very talented and carried the play well. Although more was expected, nothing more was needed.
What shocked us, though, was the content of the dialogue. My friend and I took our eleven year old sons thinking that a play about Little League (which is also offered on a Sunday afternoon) would be appropriate for children. One of the actors swears fairly regularly and there were references to sex, infidelity and masturbation. I'm not sure what this would have been rated in theaters, but beware. This is not intended for young children.
