Hop over to the Forum for this year's Bounce TV Music Fest featuring living legend Patti LaBelle, soul-funk band Maze featuring Frankie Beverly and American Idol winner Ruben Studdard. Grammy-winning R&B diva LaBelle has piled up accolades for a songbook that includes "New Attitude," "If You Asked Me To" and "If Only You Knew." Her soaring voice has graced the halls of the Apollo Theater, the Metropolitan Opera House and the White House. Philly born and bred, Maze frontman Frankie Beverly has been leading the group since the early '70s, and together they've since charted a number of singles, including "Feel That You're Feelin'," "Running Away," "Back in Stride" and "Can't Get Over You." Studdard was crowned as Fox Television's American Idol in 2003 after pulling in 24 million votes. He's since followed up that success with a string of gold and platinum records, top 10 albums and R&B and pop singles, and his newest album, Unconditional Love, debuted at No. 7 on Billboard's R&B Chart. What fun! Great Show at the New Fabulous Forum. Def Leppard sounded as good as they did in the late 80's, enjoyed those FM radio hits and the video on the big screen on stage.
KISS is the most fun you can have at a fireworks and flame show. The audience was so into the show, the anthem songs and of course Gene Simmons bloody mouth squirt (icky) The fringe on Paul Stanley boots with his prancing and aerobic moves proves he still has swagger with just enough camp to make you comfortable laughing out loud. "Lick It Up" with the Who's Won't get fooled Again guitar solo, including Roger Daltry's "greatest scream in Rock and Roll history" just was icing on the cake. KISS has their place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and my heart forever.
