One of the leading chamber groups performing today, the Echo Award-winning Scharoun Ensemble Berlin features the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra's principal string and woodwind musicians. For this concert, these profoundly talented musicians will perform pieces written by Mozart and Beethoven, putting Alexander Bader's clarinet work on display. Septet, Op. 20 is one of Beethoven's most popular works and one of the finest septets ever written. The Scharoun Ensemble will also perform Mozart's Quintet for Clarinet in Strings, one of the composer's most beautiful chamber pieces. Learn More

Quotes & Highlights
- "These men are phenomenal: as fresh as a blade of grass, tightly focused and keenly expressive." --New York Times
Praised by The New York Times for its "precise, pure, and deeply felt singing," the Grammy-winning ensemble, Chanticleer, celebrates its 28th season with a one-night-only performance at the Barclay. No subject has inspired poets and composers more than the beauty and power of nature. With EarthSongs, acclaimed 12-man ensemble Chanticleer pairs poets’ words with music to celebrate the grace of earth’s creatures, the voices of the seasons and the very rhythms of our planet. From delicate madrigals, to contemporary settings to evocations of native cultures, EarthSongs will resonate with listeners long after the final note has been sung.
