The concert begins with a set by Danzig, the self-titled group whose biggest hits include "Mother" and "Twist of Cain." A set by Samhain, Danzig's mid-'80s goth-metal band, follows. The show closes with a series of songs by horror-punk pioneers The Misfits, Danzig's first band, performed by Danzig and Mistfits guitarist Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein. Learn More

What a joy to see this here in Irvine. I really enjoyed the crowd (mostly women, many of whom were gay) and I also got introduced to some new artists. Parking was free.

Concession prices were ridiculously high! Emmylou Harris cancelled her appearance. Sara MacLaughlin did not come on stage until 10 P.M. - way past the time my friend and I left. It was very disorganized, the workers there couldn't answer any questions, and no one had a schedule. I should have done my homework on the schedule - if I had known it was not going to be a regular concert, and that it would go on so late, I would not have attended. As is was, my friend and I left after a couple of hours. We were not impressed, and we will not go again!! Very disappointing!

I was not very happy with the line up for Lilith Fair. I don't think I would go again unless melissa Ethridge was playing.

Description

Lilith Fair, the traveling music festival that celebrates women in music, is returning for 2010. This year, the festival will feature eleven acts, including founder of the festival Sarah McLachlan, Miranda Lambert, The Weepies, and Brandi Carlile. Lilith Fair, founded in 1997 by musician Sarah McLachlan and executives from Nettwerk Records, has raised over $10 million for women's charities.

About the Ticket Supplier: Lilith Fair Productions Ltd.

From 1997 through 1999, Lilith Fair was one of the highest grossing touring festivals in the world, with over 1.5 million fans in attendance and raising over $10 million dollars for national and local charities. Founded by Grammy-award winning artist Sarah McLachlan along with Dan Fraser, Marty Diamond and Terry McBride, Lilith Fair was the only tour of its kind--a celebration of women in music featuring artists like Sheryl Crow, Christina Aguilera, Erykah Badu, The Dixie Chicks, Missy Elliot, The Pretenders, Nelly Furtado, Jewel, Queen Latifah, Indigo Girls, Tegan and Sara and of course, Sarah McLachlan.

Nearly 6 months ago, Nettwerk CEO and Lilith Fair co-founder Terry McBride announced that the all-female festival would make its return in Summer 2010.
