no jazz trio prior to the show, we didn't miss it. the show was funny throughout. laura croft is cute and bubbly.
fun time. the drinks were reasonable and the service very organized and friendly.
The comediens were great and so was the table service!!!
I thought there was gonna be playmates doing comedy... in reality it was just 4 guys doing comedy and a playmate came on stage once, for about 45 seconds to say "hi and I'll be signing mags after the show..."
We arrived prior to the show but never saw the jazz trio, but perhaps they had already exited the stage?? The comedians were good, not great. Personally all in our party felt the 2nd comedian to be much better than the 3rd. Playmate Ms. July 2008 was there - she was introduced about halfway through the evening. Classy and lovely, but she wasn't really part of any stand up - signed some magazines. Great guacamole and chips, prime rib tacquitos. Improv needs to add a little zip to their somewhat bland salsa. We all had fun however - price was right, good for a Wednesday evening out.

The line up needs better comedians. The show was below average to average.
It was a good date night, especially for the price. We personally thought the third comedian was funnier than the last one.

The show was pretty good. I've seen much better but for $7.50 what do you expect. I still recommend it.

The Improv offers a full-service bar and serves dinner, appetizers and dessert nightly. There is a 2-drink minimum per person (which can be fulfilled with alcoholic beverages, soda, coffee or dessert).
Playboy Comedy is not your conventional comedy show. For the past 3 years it has been exclusive at The Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. It was awarded "Best Comedy Club" in 2006 by The Las Vegas Review Journal. Now it is coming to the Irvine Improv and will be host to some of the hottest stand-up comedians and feature appearances by Playboy Playmates. Beginning with a live 3-piece jazz band to set the mood, creators Cort McCown and Paul Hughes set the stage for a night of fun and laughter. The comedy is edgy and adult-oriented and features nationally known talents.
