I saw Bill Phillips the last time he performed at the improv in Irvine. It was a great show, so I had high standards for this one. I realize that Bill is human, so he will have his occasional "off days". Unfortunately this seemed like one of those days. Bill spent the first hour dealing with 2 audience members. It was quite tedious as it appeared that he was fishing for information. Luckily, the show improved later on. I probably wouldn't see another one of his shows, as I'm highly skeptical of his talents. On a positive note, the Irvine Improve is always great. Nice venue and staff is always friendly!

The show was good but always a bit disappointing when no one in our party was chosen for a reading. I thought he spent more time than necessary on a couple of parties. Would like him to have moved around the audience more. The two-item minimum is a bust. I had two lousy margaritas for $20 plus tip? My friend had a good spinach dip with her beer. The Caesar salad was OK. Nachos very ordinary. But the show was definitely worth the money paid for it, and much more to those whose readings were given.

I really enjoyed the readings. I will go see him again.

I loved the show and the unity of the crowd. Everyone was clearly there for the same reason. I wish he would have started out reading in the audience. The readings got better once Bill was in the crowd. I can't wait to attend again.
