More Details
The New World Flamenco Festival has ordered up a big new show that will be rehearsed in Spain and presented in its world premiere. Somos Flamencos celebrates flamenco's most treasured traditions of improvisation and spontaneity among its dancers, singers and guitarists. Yaelisa, the Festival's artistic director, is guest-directing this extraordinary ensemble of Spain's top dancers, musicians and singers.
In response to some of its other original shows - Jerez, Puro; Sin Fronteras starring Savion Glover; and Y Una Batita de Cola - the Festival has been asked to represent this show on a national tour during the 2009-2010 season. The run has been extended to five nights of vibrant dance, majestic cante, and soulful guitar.
