The Grammy-nominated St. Petersburg String Quartet from Russia begins the Society’s 2010-11 chamber concerts performing Brahms: Piano Quartet in G minor, Shostakovich: String Quartet No. 7, and Dvorák: Piano Quintet. The quartet blazed a trail through international chamber music competitions, winning first prize at the All-Soviet Union String Quartet Competition and a silver medal and special prize at the Tokyo International Competition of Chamber Ensembles.
