Slovenly Oscar Madison takes in his neat freak friend Felix Ungar when Felix's wife throws him out and all comic hell breaks loose. The two men nearly come to blows over the state of Oscar's apartment, and a hilarious double date with the attractive Pigeon sisters comes to an unexpected and hilarious conclusion. First produced on Broadway in 1965, Neil Simon's now iconic buddy comedyThe Odd Couple ran for nearly 1,000 performances and spawned a movie, a TV series, a female version and countless revivals across the country and even internationally.

The Village Theatre Presents Mel Brooks' The Producers

Full Price:
$58.00 - $62.00
Our Price:
$29.00 - $31.00

Mel Brooks' Tony Award-winning Broadway musical The Producers is coming to Issaquah in its first Pacific Northwest professional production, courtesy of Village Theatre. When a broke Broadway producer and his accountant hatch a scheme to deliberately mount a sure-fire flop so they can abscond with the unspent production money, what could possibly go wrong? It turns out the only thing worse than getting caught is having a surprise hit on their hands. Based on the classic 1968 film starring Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel, and featuring the hilarious show-within-a-show, Springtime for Hitler, The Producers skewers the over-the-top absurdities of Broadway theater even as it delivers one of the best (and most over-the-top) Broadway shows in recent years. Very drawn out at times. Not as fast moving as expected.

It's hard to go wrong at Village Theater, and The Odd Couple is no exception. We both enjoyed it very much.

We have now sat in several different locations over the past few years, and there just is not a bad seat in the house.

Village Theater always puts on good productions. Sets and costuming are always right on. We enjoyed this, though would not go back and see it a second time.

Funny show which could feel a bit dated except these actors are terrific. A thoroughly enjoyable evening at the theatre.
