Three Sisters: Chekhov's Family Drama Presented by The Footlight Club
The Footlight Club presents The Three Sisters, Anton Chekhov's family drama in an adaptation by acclaimed playwright David Mamet. The three sisters of the title -- matriarchal Olga; witty, peppery Masha, and the baby, Irina - long to go to Moscow even as their lives revolve around their brother Andrei and his sometimes questionable life decisions. As the action unfolds, characters evolve and true natures are revealed by each character's pursuit of his or her own happiness. Taking place in a country on the verge of revolution, Three Sisters chronicles the lives of community members striving to reconcile the rift between tradition and reformation.
