A little-known American hero steps into the spotlight in Jeanne Sakata's eloquent one man show, Hold These Truths. The "Truths," of course, are the civil rights proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence and later enshrined in the Constitution. The man doing the holding -- despite enormous pressures from his own government -- is one Gordon Hirabayashi. When the government decides to mass incarcerate all people of Japanese ancestry on the West Coast, it is Hirabayashi, a college student and conscientious objector, who decides to fight for the rights of all Americans. Join him on his journey toward a greater understanding of America's triumphs and failings. Joel de la Fuente ( Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) stars in this absorbing historical portrayal. Our girls have been to countless Peter Pan plays over the course of the years of living in Washington. It's one of our family's favorite stories. We LOVE all the children's theater in all the cities!! We've even seen Peter Pan at Seattle Childrens Theater under the Space Needle a few years back. I liked this production better!!! Not a bad seat in the house, very intimate, and I liked the Lost Boys underground house. SUPERB effects with FLYING (Seattle Children's did this also)- my kids were breathless on Saturday grinning ear to ear. The original venue price was steep (for children's theater), and after Goldstar's fees the tickets come to about $25 each instead of $34... still high for an entire family to go to community theater. Still, GREAT, great play!!

Attended the Peter Pan performance at the Kirkland Performance Theater with my daughter (9) and two friends. The production was top notch and there is not a bad seat anywhere in the house. It feels close and intimate no matter where you sit. ...continued
