The tour guides were really nice - didn't over do it - not corny - made the adventure interesting. Wish that we could go in more caves.
We all had our own kayaks (singles) and glad we did - way more fun.
We had a great time. The water was like glass at 9:00 am. The plus to going early during the summer is that it is much less crowded. As the weather gets warmer and all the vactioners come in to town, it gets pretty crowded down there.
The water was clear. We could see Garabaldi, leopard shark and guitar fish. We actually only went in to one cave. The caves themselves are pretty small. But the kayaking and day in the sun were awesome. La Jolla is one of California's jewels.
Also, make sure you are on time. If you are late, you will not be able to go.
