L.A.'s Troubadour Theater Company, better known as the Troubies, are famous for their fast-paced acrobatic, comic and musical mash-ups of classical plays with songs from top pop artists, as in their recent hilarious hits Romeo Hall and Juliet Oates and Fleetwood Macbeth. Their latest raucous production sets the songs of ABBA to Aeschylus' ancient Greek tale of a king who returns home from the Trojan War to a domestic drama of adultery and murder. The music of ABBA's no stranger to theatrical adaptation, of course, with so many great tunes to choose from, including "Dancing Queen," "SOS," "Waterloo," "Take a Chance on Me," "Winner Takes it All" and so many others, but the award-winning and wildly creative Troubies are no doubt up to the task.
