L.A.'s Troubadour Theater Company, better known as the Troubies, are famous for their fast-paced acrobatic, comic and musical mash-ups of classical plays with songs from top pop artists, as in their recent hilarious hits Romeo Hall and Juliet Oates and Fleetwood Macbeth. Their latest raucous production sets the songs of ABBA to Aeschylus' ancient Greek tale of a king who returns home from the Trojan War to a domestic drama of adultery and murder. John Steinbeck’s classic tale of two friends who discover the underside of the American Dream. Set against the backdrop of the Great Depression, George and Lennie are determined to buy a small farm of their own after years of making a living as itinerant farm workers. The two soon discover the flip side of their American Dream and the friendship is tested to its limits.
