The play did not live up to the hype regarding the humor involved. Perhaps if it had not been billed as uproariously funny, I would have enjoyed it more without expecting it to be as hilarious as advertised.

This is the first time I have gone to a Goldstar event - so was not sure what to expect. I was very pleased with the process. It could not have been easier. The seats were excellant, the play was very funny and entertaining and the tickets were such a deal! Thank you.

Being from a theater background, we tend to be more critical of shows we see but do try to take that into consideration. The show dragged for the entire first act with poor jokes and only passable acting. It picked up somewhat in the 2nd half of the show but not enough to change my mind. It was not a show I would have walked out on but I stayed to give the actors the courtesy they deserved; they were trying their best. Seats Good, Lighting good, set good, sound only fair with a mike needed to rear of stage to hear backstage dialog. We sat up front so people in rear of theater were probably having a hard time hearing especially since it was more of a "Seniors" crowd.

Description

In no time at all, Curt Logan (a 1980s television star who still dresses the part) has commandeered the production—and the author’s fiancé. On top of that, the actress hired to play Jerry’s sainted mother turns out to be Curt’s bawdy television wife. Add a stuck-up director and a distressed stage manager, and you have the ingredients for a hysterical comedy of epic proportions.
